Science
Science is often presented as a hands-on, inquiry-based course from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our tutors at Empowering Scholars work with students to develop a deeper understanding of key concepts and to address essential science skills rooted in the scientific method, including developing and testing hypotheses. Scientists and students of science must be able to present claims supported by evidence and analyses of findings in strongly-argued and well-organized writings and presentations. Our tutors work with students to use elements of the argumentative writing that is done in the Humanities to support writing in science courses.
