The recent school closures present unique challenges to all students. Some students may struggle with the transition to online learning, and some will need more specialized support than schools are currently able to provide. Parents may also need help guiding their children through this transition.
If your child has an IEP or a 504 and you want to ensure they maintain the skills they have gained so far this year, or they are accelerated learners who need to be challenged, or they need executive functioning support to use their time effectively, Empowering Scholars is offering customized remote support designed for your child’s individual learning needs.
Our teachers are currently providing the following remote services:
- Executive Functioning support to guide students as they navigate independent packets or eLearning assignments provided by teachers.
- Accommodations and instruction to support IEP progress goals provided by licensed and experienced Special Education teachers.
- Individualized lessons and assignments tailored to your student’s needs and grade-level to ensure they continue to learn new content and skills in addition to practicing those they have already mastered.
- Fifteen or thirty-minute check-ins to review work or clarify questions in real-time when students are unable to access their school-based teachers.
- Parent coaching sessions to help with daily routines, academic enrichment, and academic resources for students while they are learning at home.
